Denholm Industrial Services are seeking an experienced Painting Manager with strong technical knowledge and a proven track record in coatings management to join our Infrastructure Business Unit. This is a key leadership role responsible for developing and growing the blasting and painting division across the UK, with responsibility for delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality works on major infrastructure projects.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Infrastructure Director, you will lead the delivery of blasting and painting projects nationwide. Based from an office location (with potential for remote working), the role requires regular site visits and overnight stays. Some projects are in high-security locations, requiring full background checks.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and expanding the Infrastructure blasting and painting side of the business across the UK.
* Leading site painting operations and managing supervisors, inspectors, and operatives.
* Coordinating internal resources and third-party vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
* Attending client handovers, daily updates, and planning meetings.
* Driving continuous improvement through 8D / 5 Why reporting and process confirmations.
* Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
* Developing project scopes and objectives, ensuring technical feasibility for blasting and painting works, including highway structures and bridge infrastructure.
* Preparing detailed project plans, tracking progress, and applying change-control processes.
* Performing risk management to minimise project risks.
* Maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
* Supporting audits, inspections, and compliance with HSEQ policies, industry standards, and client specifications.
* Working with the DIS Rope Access Division to apply innovative access solutions to challenging infrastructure projects.
Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Minimum 5 years' management experience in blasting and painting.
* Certification: ICATS / Train the Painter (essential).
* Strong technical knowledge of coating specifications, blasting parameters, and application techniques.
* Experience in bridge infrastructure works and specialist painting activities.
* Knowledge of working at height (IRATA Rope Access and Suspended Access advantageous).
* Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing teams, clients, and subcontractors.
* Experience in project planning, scheduling, cost control, and resource allocation.
* Demonstrable commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
