About the role

We are seeking an additional full time procurement officer to join our busy team based in Shire Hall. We procure and contractually manage all the Council's contracted passenger transport.


Responsibilities

* Prepare and manage all contractual documentation for the transport provision we procure.
* Manage all contracted transport during its operational lifetime.
* Coordinate investigations and prepare reports for senior management and stakeholders as and when required.
* Deliver training to service areas within the Council on the various types of transport we can procure on their behalf; confident at public speaking and able to deliver training to large groups of people, in person or via Teams.
* Find solutions, work to tight deadlines and targets, and have a flexible approach.
* Accompany Transport Engineers to site inspections as and when required.


Requirements

* Proficient and accurate in using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Established experience in a busy team environment and ability to work independently.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Effective communication and public speaking skills.
