Brownlee Cale is looking for an experienced Site Agent to join our client on a large civils infrastructure project in the South West. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of major civil engineering work packages, working in partnership with a Tier 1 principal contractor to deliver one of the region’s largest infrastructure schemes. As Site Agent, you will manage site operations, lead subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities * Manage day-to-day site operations for allocated work packages. * Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors to meet programme deadlines. * Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, CDM regulations, and company procedures. * Review and approve risk assessments, method statements, and permits to work. * Chair daily briefings, site meetings, and toolbox talks. * Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and quality documentation. * Work closely with the Project Manager to update programmes, track costs, and report progress. * Identify and mitigate potential risks to delivery. * Promote collaborative working with client and principal contractor teams. Skills & Experience * Proven experience as a Site Agent on major highways or civil engineering projects. * Strong knowledge of highways construction – earthworks, drainage, pavements, structures. * Good understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and commercial awareness. * SMSTS, CSCS (Manager level), and First Aid certification required. * Temporary Works Coordinator qualification desirable. * Strong communication and leadership skills. * Proficient in MS Office and project planning software (Asta Powerproject / MS Project). ✅ Contact Siobhan Davis at Brownlee Cale if you are a Site Agent with highways experience and want to be part of a landmark South West infrastructure project
