W Talent are now seeking to recruit a highly motivated Production Team Leader to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Derby. This is a days-based role, working four days a week (Monday to Thursday), and will play a key part in supporting the Production Managers with the day-to-day running of operations, driving team performance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

With a strong portfolio of trusted brands developed through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions, the business is now looking to expand its leadership team with the appointment of two new Production Team Leaders.
Key Responsibilities
You will be manging a team of 10-20 employees with full accountability of daily performance including KPI deliverables.
You will be responsible for making key production decisions in the absence of the Production manager.
You will have responsibility of all areas of the production facility and give clear and consistent information to other team members.
You will monitor and support new team members and help to identify training and development.
Support the production team in completing production tasks and deliver shift handover process including all shift reporting documentation.
Work closely with the Quality team to manage any product defects including implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Monitor and manage absence and lateness levels, disciplinary matters, holiday allocation and sickness cover.
Key Requirements
To apply for Production Team Leader position in Derby you will ideally have 5+ years Team Leader or Supervisory experience with the ability to drive manufacturing improvements. Additionally, you will need to hold a IOSH or NEBOSH qualification and possess some knowledge or experience within one of the following sectors: manufacturing, food, chemical or fast paced working environment.
