Whiteabbey Hospital is currently seeking a highly organised and motivated Administrative Officer to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy healthcare environment while supporting the delivery of high‑quality patient services.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to clinical and non‑clinical staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of departmental services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide day‑to‑day administrative support including data entry, filing, and document management
* Handle incoming calls, emails and correspondence in a professional manner
* Maintain accurate records in line with HSCNI policies and procedures
* Assist with appointment scheduling and patient coordination
* Support team members with general office duties as required
Essential Criteria:
* Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Attention to detail and ability to manage workload effectively
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience within a healthcare or NHS setting
* Knowledge of HSCNI systems and procedures
