We're currently seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect aligned to the Client Servicing & Engagement Platform in Business and Commercial Banking. The role requires,
• Thought leadership in delivering compelling Digital Client and Colleague experiences through flexible, extensible and robust cloud native architectures.
• Experience in building relationships at senior levels and becoming a trusted advisor to business and technology change delivery colleagues.
• Owning the technology strategy and roadmap for your area of focus.
• Ensuring alignment with and influencing the wider Group strategies.
You'll be a confident individual, passionate about architecture and making a difference, able to build effective relationships at all levels (up to and including Executive level).
Besides Enterprise Architects, the role is open to candidates with well-rounded experience in Digital solutions shaping and technology delivery from non-EA backgrounds including Engineering, Solution architecture and Technical Product management.

This is an opportunity for an enterprise architect who is enthusiastic about defining the Digital Architectures using Cloud-native technology and architecture patterns. Someone who enjoys solving business problems through the best in class technology and through collaboration with stakeholders.
As an Enterprise Architect you will be ultimately accountable for architecture decisions in your area, continually influencing, challenging, and supporting the Commercial teams to build and align to their strategic roadmaps, alongside acting as the voice of the business facing into all the Group Enabling Platforms to facilitate delivery of the business roadmaps.
Building and sustaining strong and productive partnerships with platforms and functions, promoting, communicating, and evangelising the Bank’s strategies. Understanding the Commercial banking industry, building relationships with relevant third party vendors and acting as a senior partner to help them evolve their products and services to better meet the needs and strategies of Commercial clients.

Domain and Technology skills:
• Strong Experience in designing and building solutions for Digital experiences using contemporary Cloud Native architectures.
• Experience with at least one of the Public Cloud platforms – GCP, Azure, AWS. Preferably GCP and Azure. Sound understanding of Cloud Architecture concepts and ability to engage with a range of stakeholders to explain and implement.
• Good Experience in Banking domain – Business and Commercial (preferred), Retail banking, Payments, Non-Banking Financial services also relevant.
• Strong Experience of shaping, influencing and leading Architectural outcomes for a mid to large organisation with demonstrated stakeholder management, including active participation in Architectural forums.
• An understanding of the Commercial business domain including key products and propositions, market trends (business and technology) and an awareness of the regulatory and competitor landscapes.
• Good technology knowledge across various topics including (but not limited to) domain driven models, API and event-based architectures, microservices, event-driven design, hybrid cloud deployment models, DevOps CI/CD, modern data paradigms, cyber security, resilience by design and sustainability.
• Sound awareness of emerging technologies (e.g., Gen AI) their maturity and strong understanding of their potential business application and consequences including how they align to long term strategy.
