Responsibilities
* Ascertain patient identity in line with patient ID policy prior to exposure.
* Ensure that images are presented for reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
* Be flexible with regard to the rota system, working the hours required by the department (12-hour shifts only).
* Provide a 24-hour service inclusive of night shifts and weekend working.
* Travel and cover shifts at Medway's community Diagnostic Centres located in Rochester and The Isle of Sheppey.
* Have knowledge of and implement all departmental and Patient Charter Standards.
* Provide for GPs, Outpatients, Inpatients and the A&E department for CT scanning.
* Participate in alerting reporting radiologists to urgent findings.
* Participate in the Trust development review process (appraisal).
* Maintain a high standard of radiographic technique.
* Take an active role in the department's clinical governance and quality assurance programme.
* Ensure that health and safety and radiation protection legislation is complied with.
* Identify personal training and career development needs.
