About the role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Demand Generation expert to lead our marketing team, which is based in Manchester UK. The Head of Digital Demand Generation will create and deliver comprehensive demand generation strategies to drive qualified leads and pipeline growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of demand generation tactics, strong analytical skills, and a track record of delivering measurable results. This role is for you if you are an individual with a continual optimisation mindset. We need a creative approach to our digital strategy and are looking for someone who can bring new and untested ways to approach demand as well as the ability to implement tried and tested methods at pace.
Salary
£55,000 - £65,000
Key accountabilities
* To own top to mid funnel KPIs – website traffic, leads, MQL, SQL and conversion rate optimisation
* Lead generation, qualification and nurturing to scale revenue and pipeline contribution
Key responsibilities
* Deliver multi-touch, multichannel demand that integrates and aligns with our whole Go-To-Market and is architected to meet the goals of our revenue objectives.
* Ownership of both organic and paid channels. We will need a mix of always on and campaign demand programmes to hit our revenue goals.
* Lead Lifecycle Ownership. Own objectives across the marketing funnel – from website visitor to SQL – track and optimise performance at each stage in the funnel, and create a predictable, scalable demand generation engine.
* Messaging. Be able to understand the minds of our buyers to create authentic conversations and campaigns that move them through the funnel, and help speed up sales velocity.
* Utilise marketing automation and CRM platforms to build, execute and track campaigns, ensuring optimal performance and ROI.
* Identify and prioritise lead generation channels and tactics, including but not limited to email marketing, content marketing, social media, SEO/SEM, events, webinars, and partnerships.
* Continuous Improvement. Always strengthening best practices while evaluating the latest B2B SaaS marketing strategies, marketing technologies, experimenting and optimising different tactics, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales pipeline and revenue goals.
* Identify non-performing areas (pages, ads, etc) and suggest tactics to improve these.
* Understand and monitor web analytics dashboards and reporting tools to create reports, budgets, campaign performance, ROI, and channel metrics. Using tools to help with measuring and tracking results in a thorough way and automating where possible.
* Monitoring and optimising website traffic and conversion rates through SEO, SEM and other digital marketing channels.
* Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in demand generation and digital marketing.
* Collaborate with sales teams to ensure seamless lead handoff and alignment on lead qualification criteria.
* Collaborate with the content marketing team to develop compelling content assets that resonate with target audiences and drive lead engagement.
* Manage and optimise landing pages, forms, and conversion paths to maximise lead capture and minimise friction in the lead generation process
Key requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g. MBA, Google Analytics, HubSpot) are a plus.
* 10+ years of experience in demand generation, digital marketing, or related roles.
* Proven track record of developing and executing successful demand generation campaigns that drive measurable results.
* Strong understanding of marketing automation and CRM platforms.
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
* Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
* Creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset and a passion for innovation in demand generation strategies.
* [Nice to have] Experience in B2B marketing, with a deep understanding of the buyer’s journey and customer personas.
