Riverbank School is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic, and innovative Teacher with a passion for working with pupils with additional learning needs (ALN). The position is temporary for 12 months, starting in September 2025, with a salary on the main pay scale plus ALN allowance.
The successful candidate will benefit from relevant training and a personalized professional learning offer. Riverbank School supports pupils aged 3-11 with various additional needs, including speech, communication, language difficulties, autism spectrum condition, severe learning difficulties, and physical and medical needs.
Riverbank School is part of the Western Learning Federation, which supports pupils aged 3-19 with autism and/or profound and complex needs. The federation promotes a culture of enquiry, innovation, and shared learning, aiming to provide a world-class education within a supportive community.
The role involves working within a caring, nurturing environment that prioritizes pupil wellbeing and inclusive education. The school emphasizes a collaborative approach to learning and development, ensuring staff are equipped with the right skills to support their pupils effectively.
This position is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check and is suitable for job share. All School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC). Internal candidates seeking secondment must obtain approval prior to applying.
