Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – EYFS
Location: Crook, County DurhamSalary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner who is committed to supporting young children's development and helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
The Role:
As an EYFS HLTA, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences, lead small group and whole-class activities, and contribute to the planning, assessment, and development of children's learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the planning and delivery of engaging EYFS learning activities.
* Lead learning sessions and cover classes when required.
* Promote children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
* Observe, assess, and record children's progress.
* Support children with varying needs to access the curriculum.
* Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
* Build effective relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Essential Requirements:
* HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
* Experience working within an EYFS setting.
* Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
