Job Description
As a Quality Assurance Control Manager, you will be responsible to define, implement and maintain the Corporate and Investment Banking Markets Quality Assurance program. You will work with stakeholders to define the strategy for the QA program, and the scope of activities to be covered. You will adhere to firmwide requirements for QA and define the objectives and scope, sampling methodology, scoring methodology, quality thresholds, resourcing requirements, QA results reporting, tracking of corrective actions, and determine appropriate record retention. You will also be responsible for management of the QA team and be responsible for training employees conducting QA and also periodic review of the QA program. You will have responsibility to keep the CIB Markets QA procedures up to date to remain adherent to any change to the Firmwide standards. You will be responsible to present to various senior forums, so the ability to structure presentations to suit the different audiences is key.
Responsibilities:
* defines, implements and maintains the CIB Markets QA program
* defines the objectives and scope, sampling methodology, scoring methodology, quality thresholds, resourcing requirements, QA results reporting, tracking of corrective actions and determine appropriate record retention.
* be responsible for management of the QA team and be responsible for fostering a work environment which strives to be inclusive, develops talent and provides training, mentoring and opportunities to grow.
* owns the CIB Markets QA procedures and have responsibility to keep abreast of any changes to the Firmwide standards to ensure the procedures remain adherent.
* escalates within QA team of any potential issues from within the team and from stakeholders.
* have responsibility to oversee the programs and work with the senior associates to ensure that the risk analysis is appropriate and accurate and offer guidance and training where required.
* be responsible for discussing draft findings with process owners, and agreeing the findings prior to presenting final findings to senior forums.
* be responsible to present to various senior forums and structures presentations to suit the different audiences.
Required skills:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
* 7+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance preferred
* Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create and evaluate the operational risk and control environment in conjunction with business partners
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
* Markets Trading and Sales Business knowledge - ability to understand the business / knowledge of regulation surrounding business
* Communication/presentation - excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner
* Networking - exceptional interpersonal skills; exceptional collaboration and relationship building skills
* Work autonomously to affect change - flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; manages competing priorities to achieve the most effective result and able to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
* Process analysis / design acumen - ability to understand a process and associated risk to inform control design
* Problem solving / Analytical skills - solid critical thinking, attention to detail and analytical skills; able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions
