Overview
The Children's Continuing Care Team is dedicated to supporting children and young people with complex medical needs. We provide high quality care to children and young people within South Cheshire and Vale Royal. Nurse Associates provide skilled care to support these families, which is often a 1:1 with the child. The hours for this post cover night shifts and day shifts, including weekdays and weekends, in the home and in other community settings.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 nursing care for children with complex medical needs in home and community settings, including nights and weekends as required.
Qualifications
* Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC Register with a Foundation Degree.
* Passionate about providing high quality, flexible care for children and families to support them to manage day-to-day lives.
* Willing to learn new clinical care skills, including tracheostomy, gastrostomy and jejunostomy care, oxygen therapy, and more.
* Good communication skills, reliable, and flexible as working hours may vary on a week-to-week basis.
Training and Support
You will be offered bespoke competency-based training as well as NHS mandatory training relevant to your role. Support will be provided by registered nurses and experienced Health Care Assistants to help you gain the knowledge and skills required to care for these children.
