The project:Delivery of substantial number of new prisoner places at a prison in Thetford. The works comprise construction of new buildings along with some refurbishment/upgrade of existing facilities.
This role will provide end to end project management across the project lifecycle to meet defined time, cost, technical performance and quality requirements. This is a client-facing role. You will be responsible for leading a team in the delivery of the project. You will be highly motivated, understand developing a project plan, identify any specialist requirements and lead an existing professional team to drive forward the clients' strategy.
You will be responsible for management of necessary project governance and assurance tools to fulfil our obligations. As project lead you will be responsible for all aspects of delivery by building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues and supply chain members.
Note: Attendance On-site at least 3 days a week is a requirement for this role.
You'll be responsible for:
* Applying local HSW standards and quality systems.
* Managing construction delivery and NEC4 obligations.
* Driving programme, risks and reporting.
* Maintaining strong governance and change control.
* Coordinating stakeholders and communication.
* Managing budgets and support sustainable outcomes.
* Managing teams, innovation and performance.
You'll need to have:
* Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE) or equivalent development.
* Proven public‐sector project delivery experience, ideally including prison programmes.
* Strong project management, commercial acumen and stakeholder leadership.
* Skilled in NEC4, sustainability considerations and flexible to UK mobility.
