The Martin Residential Trust is a small 18 bedded nursing home in the centre of Glengormley that provides loving care to people with profound learning disabilities.
We wish to recruit an experienced care assistant to work along with our dedicated team. Duties include dressing, feeding, bathing and helping with daily activities etc. Experience within learning disability care an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given to caring, enthusiastic, motivated individuals who are able to work as part of a team.
Our Full Time Care posts are 37.5 hours per week, working 2 x 12 hour shifts & 2 x 6.75 hour shifts (a mix of 2 AM or PM shifts). The successful applicant must be available to work allocated shifts over a 7 day rota, which will include working alternate weekends and night duty if and when required. We do not offer exclusive Night Duty contracts so all staff have the opportunity to avail of our Enhanced Night Duty pay rate.
The successful applicant will be required to provide two satisfactory references and an enhanced background check from Access NI.
Salary: Starting rate of £12.51 per hour increasing after initial probationary period with enhanced overtime and night duty rates.
