At PA Housing, we’re looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our collaborative Insights Team. If you enjoy bringing numbers to life with Power BI, building solutions that enable smarter choices, and making data accessible for everyone, this could be the role for you.
This isn’t just about writing queries it’s about shaping how our business understands and uses data. You’ll play a key part in transforming information into actionable insights that support better outcomes for our customers, colleagues, and communities.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be at the heart of our BI function, working closely with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver accurate, efficient, and user-friendly data solutions. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports to support informed decision-making.
* Gathering reporting requirements from stakeholders and ensuring data is presented clearly and effectively.
* Ensuring consistency, reliability, and accuracy across all data outputs.
* Supporting integration of multiple data sources and platforms for seamless reporting.
* Troubleshooting reporting issues and maintaining business continuity.
* Working with data engineering and insights teams to deploy model changes and provide in-depth analysis.
* Promoting best practices in data governance, security, and compliance.
* Supporting colleagues with training and adoption of BI tools.
* Continuously seeking opportunities for improvements and innovation in our BI solutions.
What we’re looking for:
We’re after someone who’s as comfortable solving complex data challenges as they are explaining insights in plain business language. Ideally, you’ll bring:
* Strong SQL abilities and query optimisation skills.
* Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure is a plus).
* Knowledge of data modelling, warehousing, and ETL processes.
* Proven experience creating Power BI reports and dashboards.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insight.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* A proactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation.
* The ability to make technical concepts understandable for non-technical audiences.
