Job Description
We are seeking a committed and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join an established mental health provider in Manchester, supporting both Acute and Rehabilitation Psychiatry services. As a Psychiatrist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat adults with a range of complex mental health conditions. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT), you'll provide holistic, person-centred care and play a key role in service development.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead acute and rehab ward rounds, risk reviews, and strategic planning meetings.
* Provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and care planning.
* Act as the Responsible Clinician (RC) under the Mental Health Act 1983.
* Oversee referrals, admissions, and pre-admission assessments.
* Deliver leadership and supervision to the MDT.
* Foster a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-orientated environment.
* Contribute to continuous quality improvement and clinical governance.
