Are you an experienced agricultural sales professional with a passion for crop nutrition and fertiliser? A leading independent commodity specialist, serving the UK farming sector since 1980, is seeking a highly motivated and commercially experienced Fertiliser Manager to take ownership of its key fertiliser portfolio.
This is a senior, customer-facing role offering significant autonomy and ownership in a critical commercial division. You will manage an existing book of business while proactively identifying and developing new opportunities. Our client prides itself on a dual commitment to customer service and staff wellbeing.
In this impactful role, you will:
* Manage and strategically develop an existing fertiliser customer portfolio across the Eastern regions.
* Drive new business growth through on-farm visits, proactive outreach, and cold calling.
* Provide expert technical advice and tailored fertiliser solutions to farming clients.
* Build and nurture long-term customer relationships based on trust and value delivery.
* Coordinate seamlessly with internal teams to ensure superior service, logistics, and supply chain support.
* Monitor market trends and product developments to inform sales strategy and client recommendations.
* Contribute directly to the strategic direction of the fertiliser division as part of the wider commercial team.
What We’re Looking For:
You will be a commercially driven individual with:
* Proven success in agricultural sales, ideally within fertilisers or crop nutrition.
* Strong business development skills and a demonstrated ability to win new clients.
* A deep technical understanding of crop nutrition and fertiliser products.
* High level of IT proficiency, including CRM and sales reporting tools.
* The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of service.
* Exceptional communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills.
* FACTS-qualified – Essential.
* BASIS-qualified – Essential.
Desirable assets include experience leading or coordinating internal teams, or an existing trading book of customers/established network within the agricultural sector.
