Product & Process Technical Optimiser – Job description for a Water Utility Company based in the Yorkshire region of England. Location: Dewsbury and Wakefield areas. Role is permanent and involves joining the Bio-Resource department to help Yorkshire Water provide the best service to customers. The role is based on a 37 hour week, Monday to Friday, with an out-of-hours standby rota once trained.

Responsibilities
The Product & Process Technical Optimiser is accountable for the process performance of a specified number of E&R sites, including STW, STF, and all recycling operation. You will coordinate and optimise wastewater compliance performance, sludge throughput and sustainable recycling at each site. You will provide the site operations team with process expertise, training and support to deliver operational excellence.
Where you fit in: as the Product & Process Technical Optimiser (PPO), you will be part of the area management team, demonstrate leadership, and support the site operations team from a performance perspective. You will present data in team hubs, lead collaborative sessions, and be visible on site, providing safe practices in accordance with Yorkshire Water Health & Safety policies. You will deliver industry-leading operational performance in eight key areas: Energy Consumption, Generation Performance, Chemical Optimisation, Permit Compliance, Treatment & Asset Reliability Investigations, Management of Change, Operational Guidance, Cake Recycling and Sludge Permit compliance.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of typical STW/STF asset bases.
* Detailed technical understanding of wastewater and sludge treatment processes and how to fault find/optimise these processes.
* Working knowledge and experience of SCADA/RTS systems.
* Experience of working to challenging business plans and driving delivery of outputs.
* Experience of working with energy reports.
* Experience of delivering continual improvement in a mature production environment.
* Analytical and proficient in key IT systems.
* Experience of working to Health and Safety Management Systems.
* The duties of the role include several reactive areas; effective prioritisation of workload and delivery efficiency is essential.
