Job Overview
Protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes. Deliver results that meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreements, take full responsibility and accountability, and support contract retention. Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development.
Operations
* Ensure compliance with policies, legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and UK law.
* Fully complete all tasks and duties on site as defined in the Assignment Instructions.
* Review and familiarize yourself with any changes to the Assignment Instructions, suggest improvements to enhance service level.
* Carry appropriate licences: front‑line licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision), CCTV PSS SIA Licence, and other contractually required courses at all times.
* Comply with statutory legislation and safety requirements.
* Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
* Work systematically, methodologically, and in an orderly manner.
Training
* Complete all required competency training satisfactorily.
* Acquire additional training as directed by the Security Account Manager.
* Use technology to achieve key objectives and develop job knowledge through ongoing professional development.
* Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
* Identify and immediately report Health & Safety hazards or potential hazards onsite.
* Stay alert to threats or changes in the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce risk of disruption, loss or damage.
* Use common sense and initiative, involving others if a situation appears threatening.
* Maintain professionalism to handle difficult situations and challenging customers.
* Record accurate, detailed notebook entries promptly after any incident for the Incident Report process.
* Adhere to schedules, demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
* Ensure check‑calls are conducted at designated times per the Assignment Instructions.
* Call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.
Qualifications
* Previous security experience.
* Valid SIA licence.
* SC clearance desirable.
* Own vehicle to travel between sites.
* Pay rate: £12.71 per hour.
