Health Care Support Worker - School Nursing

We are currently looking to recruit a Health Care Support Worker to join our innovative, enthusiastic and dynamic School Nursing team.
The role is all year round and is office based, sometimes in the community and schools.
Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.
Main duties of the job
* Provide support to the School Nursing service
* Work to support the health and well being of children (aged 5-19)
* Contribute to locality teams performance and data capture
* Support the team using IT and administrative skills
* Clinic support as needed
* Liaise with other agencies/schools, parents and allied professionals

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade D-G or equivalent)
* Care Certificate either upon appointment or within 12 weeks of commencement
* NVQ Level 2 in Healthcare or a Level 2 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship
Knowledge, Training & Experience
* Experience of working with members of the public or a desire to work in the Health Service
* Understanding of routine work procedures gained through a short induction period and on the job training
* Experience of working in a team
* Experience of working within a health or social care environment
Skills and Abilities
* Basic IT skills
* Ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs
* Good organisational skills
* Commitment to undertaking continuous professional development (CPD)
