Job Description
Assist with the provision of an efficient and effective integrated facilities management service within a Council/Partner premise, as well as a reactive service covering Janitorial, Cleaning, and Crossing patrols across a service area. Ensure delivery and integration of the Council's key objectives, specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update, before a formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are constantly updated, and any relevant information will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary full-time post based at Netherthird Primary School. The hourly rate is £13.37. The role is 37 hours per week, with the following working pattern: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, and Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm, including a 1-hour break. The post is temporary until 30th June 2026.
