Key Responsibilities: Establish a robust understanding and regular review of the financial risk the business holds, and recommend improvements to evaluate and manage the risk. Understand high-level business problems and risk scenarios, formulate hypotheses, and conduct data-driven analysis to test them, reporting to the board on a regular basis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business requirements and deliver solutions to complex risk and analytical challenges. Develop, analyse, and modify data processes to ensure precise system outputs and model reliability. Present and explain findings, insights, risk assessments and strategic recommendations to technical and non-technical senior stakeholders. Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports and risk assessments. Stay current with ML best practices and risk analysis methodologies relevant to the business. About you: 2-4 years practical experience as a Data Analyst, Risk Analyst, or similar analytical role. Experience with SQL for extracting and manipulating data from large databases. Proficiency in Python for data analysis, with familiarity with libraries such as pandas, numpy, and scikit-learn. Hands-on experience working with machine learning models in business contexts - you understand when and how ML models are applied to solve real-world problems. Experience using pre-built ML models and interpreting their outputs, with understanding of model evaluation and validation. Strong experience in data modelling, data cleaning, and data mining. Understanding of risk management principles and experience analysing risk-related datasets (including the use of stochastic models). Ability to analyse large datasets and provide actionable insights for risk assessment and business decision-making. Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear and structured hypotheses and analyses. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
