General Facilities Manager(Maternity Cover)Contract length-9-12 monthsHours-40 hours per weekShift Pattern-Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00 (will need some flexibility to support when the business needs)Salary-Up to 45k per annum Sodexo rewards and benefitsLocation-Watford-WD18 8YEJob IntroductionThis is a great opportunity for an inspiring and hands-on General Services Manager to lead a dedicated, multi-service team at the prestigious Smith & Nephew Head Office and Academy.At the heart of the site is Modern Recipe, a vibrant staff restaurant that also delivers hospitality to the Academy, welcoming surgeons from around the world. You will lead a close-knit team of 4 catering professionals, 6 cleaning operatives, and 2 receptionists, driving high standards, strong team culture, and a seamless hospitality-led experience across the site.Key ResponsibilitiesFull management of all Sodexo-delivered services on site, ensuring compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirementsAccountable leadership of Sodexo employees, including engagement, performance management, training, and developmentDelivery and oversight of Health & Safety and Food Safety trainingRobust contractor control and compliance managementProactive problem-solving and agile response to client business changesStrong partnership working with the client to maintain a high-end hospitality environmentFinancial oversight, budget management, and commercial awarenessDriving continuous improvement across all service linesRequired CompetenciesMinimum 2 years' experience in a facilities or services management roleStrong facilities management capabilityResilience and ability to perform in a high-expectation environmentCollaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively with othersResults-oriented mindsetFinancial and business awarenessStrong analytical and decision-making skillsCommitment to continuous improvementQualifications and SkillsIOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification)Food Safety / Food Handlers qualification – Supervisor level or aboveProven experience managing multi-service teamsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to deliver high standards of hospitality within a corporate environmentWhy Join Sodexo?This is an opportunity to lead services at a prestigious global medical technology organisation where hospitality excellence directly supports world-class surgical education.
