We are seeking Cover Supervisors to support several high:achieving Secondary Schools in the Chigwell area.
This role is ideally suited to graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with a background in coaching or youth work who want to work in a reputable educational environment without the pressures of planning and marking.
As a Cover Supervisor, your main priority is to maintain a positive and productive learning environment while the regular teacher is absent.
* Classroom Management: Oversee the classroom and ensure students remain on:task with the work provided.
* Supportive Learning: Assist students with questions and clarify instructions to help them complete their lessons.
* Subject Variety: Work across a broad spectrum of subjects, providing a diverse and interesting work week.
* School Integration: Become a valued part of the school community, supporting staff and students alike.
Requirements
* Education: A degree is preferred, but we welcome applications from those with significant experience working with 11:16 year olds.
* Character: You must be confident, authoritative, and able to command respect in a classroom.
* Adaptability: The ability to move between different subject areas and school environments with ease.
* Clearance: An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness for one).
* Local Access: Ideally based in or near Chigwell, with the ability to travel to schools via the Central Line or by car.
