IFG is growing… An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join our fantastic Finance team at our Head Office in Woking. This role will include a mixture of office-based and homeworking. During training, you will work 5 days in the office, then move to 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. We are offering a salary up to £36,000 depending on experience. The role is Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
This role is initially a 6-month Fixed Term Contract.
What the role involves:
The primary responsibility of this role is to produce the monthly IFG Client profit and loss statements and client invoicing. Additionally, this role will support the department Head in preparing client budgets and forecasts. We require someone with good organisational skills, the ability to self-prioritise, effective communication skills with both finance and non-finance staff, and a high attention to detail.
* Preparation of monthly School Profit and Loss accounts and invoices for sign-off
* Collaboration with Operational Managers and Finance Business Partners to ensure information accuracy and relevance
* Collaboration with Management Accountants to ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly revenue
* Support the Finance team with the setup of new school reporting
* Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition
* Maintain the integrity of customer accounts
* Build and maintain good working relationships internally and externally
* Manage customer queries
* Any ad hoc duties as required
What We Are Looking For:
* At least 12 months of experience as a Finance Assistant managing account reconciliations
* AAT qualification preferred but not essential
* Experience working with cashless providers is essential; experience in a school environment is advantageous
* IT skills: proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, PivotTables
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Proactive approach and ability to work independently
* Ability to meet targets and month-end deadlines
* Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
