About the Role
:
We are looking for a Plumber to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multi disciplined team of operatives, providing reactive maintenance repair within social housing properties. You will be a part of a local team carrying out high-quality plumbing repairs and refurbishment activities to our housing properties, while delivering best-in-class customer service and meeting all safety, quality, and cost control standards.
Day-to-day Duties:
1. Carry out a range of reactive repairs to a high standard in a timely manner.
2. Deliver excellent customer service to tenants and residents.
3. Process all tasks electronically using a handheld device (PDA).
4. Maintain all company-supplied assets in good condition in line with company policies. Report any damages to your supervisor or Manager.
5. Manage materials effectively by using existing stock or collecting required items from the merchants.
Role Criteria:
6. Experience working in social housing
7. Good communication skills
8. City & Guilds or equivalent in Plumbing trade discipline.
9. IT Literate – For PDA Use
10. Previous experience in a plumbing trade environment
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
12. Full UK driving licence

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
