Position: Health & Safety Facilities Manager
Location: Lutterworth
Grade: RCS.M
Shift patterns: Monday-Friday. Day time hours (08:00-16:00/09:00-17:00) – Flexibility required to support Days and Nights shifts
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Facilities Manager to support our busy Multi‑User site in Lutterworth, operating across the Goodyear and Micheldever tyre contracts. This key leadership role is responsible for driving a strong health, safety and compliance culture while ensuring the site's facilities are maintained to the highest standard. Working closely with operational teams, contractors and customers, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, efficient and compliant working environment within a fast‑paced logistics operation.
Typical Day May Involve
* Provide day‑to‑day Safety, Health and Environmental assistance and advice to enable the site(s) to comply with relevant statutory legislation
* Assist with the development, implementation and communication of all relevant HSMS policies at the site(s)
* Provide support to the Operations for accident/incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action
* Manage and ensure completion of risk assessments, processes, training and safe systems of work for all activities and tasks being undertaken
* Deliver regular safety performance reviews with the Operations team as appropriate
* Assist the site in delivering the HSE business plan (Contract / Divisional)
* Coordinate and assist the Safety, Health and Environmental initiatives at the site(s)
* Work in conjunction with the customer and union safety representatives on all matters concerning health & safety
* Maintain both the LOGICS system and Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) for the site
Role Suitability
* Previous operational Health, Safety, Environmental and Facilities experience is essential
* NEBOSH General or equivalent/IOSH is desirable (or working towards or willing to obtain)
* Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
* Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
* Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
* Ability to challenge in the right way and influence stakeholder decisions
* Computer literacy – Microsoft packages and relevant HSE systems
* ISO 18001 / 14001 management systems experience is desirable, but not essential
