Overview

GE’s Power Conversion business, part of GE Vernova, provides electrification systems that are critical to customers’ power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. We work with major energy, maritime and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through our specialist motors, drives and control technologies.


Responsibilities

* Implement and sustain Lean initiatives across the facility to improve efficiency and reduce waste
* Coach cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and cost-saving actions using Lean methodologies
* Work closely with engineering, production, and quality departments to optimize processes and ensure product reliability
* Deliver Lean training and coaching to employees at all levels, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
* Use data-driven insights and KPIs to measure and evaluate the impact of lean initiatives


Required Qualifications

* Experience in Lean in a manufacturing environment
* Bachelor's degree of an engineering discipline from an accredited university
* Strong analytical and inquisitive thinking skills, with the ability to make data-driven inferences
* Strong oral and written English language skills
* Comfortable commuting to the Rugby facility on a daily basis


Desired Characteristics

* Proficiency in MS Office-Excel, other software knowledge beneficial (Statistics, simulation, Kanban, etc.)
* High coordination skills and hands-on approach
* Enhanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Strong manufacturing knowledge with deep understanding of shopfloor management
* Lean training certifications, with a preference for Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies
* Experience in Lean management in the electromechanical sector
* Ability to develop and motivate a high-involvement team through commitment to meeting customer and organizational demands
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders
* High speed and focus on responsibility
