Salary: from £24,577 annum FTE

Are you a compassionate, empathetic individual looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a Learning Support Mentor to join our team. This is an incredibly rewarding role that is particularly well‑suited to individuals considering embarking on a future career in teaching or education support.
In this role, you will be the architect of a student's confidence and independence. You will work closely with teaching staff to empower young people with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including Autistic Spectrum Disorders, physical access needs, and language impairments, ensuring they can fully access their vocational curriculum and achieve their potential.

Responsibilities
* Partner with lecturing staff to support students within a variety of learning environments, assisting with reading materials, note‑taking, word processing, and using digital enabling technologies.
* Modify and adapt classroom resources responsively to meet learner needs, such as enlarging text and simplifying carrier language.
* Empower young people to make progress towards their personalised learning outcomes, including specific Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* Support the implementation of targeted therapy interventions, such as Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy, under the guidance of clinical professionals.
Requirements
* GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or equivalent. Holding or working towards a Level 2 Learning Support Qualification is highly desirable.
* Recent and demonstrable experience supporting individuals with special educational needs, learning difficulties, or disabilities.
* Resilient individual with a genuine passion for supporting students and a willingness to learn.
