Summary:
You will be responsible for ensuring that components are produced to the highest quality and in line with customer specifications.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
6. To ensure that components produced are of the best quality
7. To ensure that components produced are correct to customer specifications
8. To verify dimensions
9. Check first offs that the setter or operator require second checking
10. Carry out goods inwards inspection of material and components received from suppliers
11. Inspect components before they are sent out to the customer
12. Record non-conforming products
13. Create quality documentation
14. Identify causes for non-conformance and work to improve the product quality and discuss recommended actions
15. Assist with the calibration of company equipment as required
16. Ensure that you are working to the correct methods
17. To be responsible for your own Health & Safety in the area you are working in
18. Ensure good house keeping of your working environment
19. Attend daily tier meetings
20. Assist with customers/visitors if required
Experience and skills required for this position:
21. The ability to read engineering drawings.
22. The ability to use a range of measuring equipment i.e. - vernier caliper, micrometre, height gauge, slip gauges, clock & stand, depth micrometres etc.
23. Knowledge of specific quality tools and equipment eg. RA surface tester, CMM, shadow graphs and x-ray would be an advantage.
24. Calibration of equipment and gauges.
25. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.
26. Good mathematical skills.
27. Excellent attention to detail.
28. Good organisational skills.
29. Good communication skills.
30. Problem solving ability.
