Senior process engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering complex projects within a highly regulated industry. This is a key technical leadership role supporting the development and delivery of major infrastructure, waste management, decommissioning, and facility improvement programmes.

The successful candidate will provide process engineering leadership and be responsible for developing high-level process engineering strategies, design documentation, and safety deliverables that underpin project execution. This role offers the opportunity to influence projects from concept through to implementation while working closely with engineering, safety, project management, and operational stakeholders.

Hybrid working arrangements are available, with regular attendance at project offices and engineering team locations required to support collaboration and programme delivery.

Key Responsibilitie

• nProvide technical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary project teams
• .Support the identification, management, and mitigation of process safety risks throughout the project lifecycle
• .Interface with safety case, mechanical, civil, electrical, control systems, and project management teams to ensure integrated delivery
• .Facilitate and contribute to engineering reviews, design reviews, and hazard studies
• .Ensure engineering outputs are compliant with applicable legislation, standards, quality requirements, and client specifications
• .Manage technical approvals, governance processes, assurance activities, and stakeholder engagement
• .Support programme and project priorities across multiple workstreams where required
• .Mentor and support junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards
