Social Media Lead - 12 month FTC

Hybrid - 3 days onsite

Redditch, Worcestershire


This is an incredible opportunity for a Senior Social Media Executive / Lead to work with a well-known luxury retail brand on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, overseeing a small social media team, being responsible for the strategy, execution, and performance of their organic social media and social selling activity across all platforms, including TikTok and TikTok Shop ( where they do live selling), Meta and LinkedIn.


They work a hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days WFH and are based in Redditch, Worcestershire and the salary is up to £32.5k with some great benefits.

Our client is a well-known and loved retail brand based in Worcestershire. They are an employee-owned business with a focus on their team and working collaboratively together.

Their offices boast live TV studios and Our client is going through real growth and working on several brands within the business across several channels means that thee is a lot of scope for growth.


The Role

As Social Lead, you will be joining a talented social media team who are hugely passionate about social media, your role is to oversee and support their content creation by maintaining and advancing the strategy, execution, and performance of their organic social media and social selling activity across all platforms as well as working with the paid social lead to plan out campaigns.

Their social media team are super creative and whilst some of the team create a lot of content, this role is more focussed on traditional social media management and supporting the social team, owning analytics and reporting and planning of campaigns as well as being involved in the creative ideation, but not necessarily shooting the content yourself, although at times, there is certainly opportunity to do so.


The main focus of the role is on driving brand awareness, engagement, audience growth, and revenue through creative content and data-led decision-making.


You will work closely with the wider marketing team, planning and delivering their quarterly campaigns to ensure cohesive storytelling, consistent brand messaging, and impactful execution across all social channels. You’ll also collaborate with the Digital Lead, to support the delivery of paid social activity and ensure seamless alignment between organic and paid strategies.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES of the role:


• Social Organic Strategy: Maintain and continue to grow all social channels strategically to build engaged communities, support quarterly campaigns, and drive brand growth across Gemporia and other brands within the business.

• Social Paid Strategy: Collaborate with the Digital Lead and external agency to execute paid social campaigns that drive website traffic, sales, and align with marketing initiatives.

• TikTok Strategy & Execution: Support the Social Media Producer in continuing to develop the TikTok Shop strategy, driving sales via weekly Live Shows and growing their organic following.

• Live Selling: Support the TikTok team (Producer and Presenters) to plan live shows, continuing to experiment with product, show themes and timings to establish successes.

• Content Creation: Support the Social Content Lead in overseeing the production of short-form, high-impact video content, aligning with trends, audience interests, and brand voice.

• Analytics & Optimisation: Track and report on performance metrics including engagement, reach, and conversion rates, using insights to refine strategies and hit KPIs. Contribute to all relevant trade and retrospective reporting requirements.

• Community Engagement: Maintain and build on an active and loyal community by creating meaningful engagement opportunities.

• Team Development: Nurture and develop the social team to support them in their roles and see them grow and flourish.


About You

• You will have ideally worked within a retail brand or agency with retail clients or E-Com focussed social role

• You love social media and perhaps even have a side hustle yourself (there is the opportunity in this role to work 3 or 4 days a week to allow you to have time to develop your own social channels should this be something of interest).

• You enjoy planning content plans and are ideation led with a delivery focus, but perhaps aren’t keen to be always in front of the camera yourself.

• You can spot trends and stay ahead of trends, platform updates and pop culture moments ensuring content remains fresh and relevant.

• You have managed at least one other person, and enjoy overseeing, guiding and motivating others


Please note that while this is an initial 12-month Fixed Term Contract, covering maternity leave, although there may be other opportunities within the team at the end of this period.


A car is needed due to their location not being on public transport routes.
