Specialist Advisor – Housing Options Team
Position: Full Time, Permanent or Fixed Term (12 months)
Responsibilities
* Make decision‑making on statutory reviews under homelessness and rehousing legislation.
* Identify and implement service improvement areas to ensure citizens applying for housing receive a high‑quality, equitable service.
* Train new staff on case‑management systems and allocation policy and present relevant information to partners and external organisations.
* Assist transition to a new case‑management system and provide IT support.
* Analyse data and trends to support decision‑making and service improvement.
* Recommend and implement changes to improve service delivery, working with limited supervision.
Qualifications and Skills
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to analyse complex information, interpret legislation, and apply it to policy and procedure changes.
* Strong commitment to meeting the needs of households in housing need and deep knowledge of homelessness and rehousing legislation.
* Strong presentation and training skills; experience training staff and presenting to partners.
* Proficient IT skills; experience with case‑management software and data analysis.
* Excellent numerical skills; ability to analyse data and trends.
* Highly motivated, self‑directed and able to work with limited supervision.
