Rates of Pay:
* Basic: £17.20 per hour
* Over 9.5 hours, you will get paid x1.5
Day to Day Duties:
Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
* RDC or Brewery Deliveries no handball (working on curtain-side)
* Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
* deliveries of Re conditioned and new FLT trucks
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
* Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
* Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
* Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
* Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
* Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving CE vehicles
* No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
* Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
* Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
* Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
* Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
* Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
* Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial
Training:
* Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
* Driver will need to be fully assessed – D&A test carried out before the assessment
* Full training given on the load, as the FLT's are driving on to the ramp at the back of the trailer and then securing with rachet straps
