About The Role
Role Overview
proAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.
Our immediate requirement is for an experienced Event and Conference Technician to be a key part of our Glasgow team, representing proAV, taking full responsibility for providing technical onsite support in the event spaces, conference rooms, meeting rooms and over video conferencing software. You will have exposure to a multitude of technologies in the audio visual and video conference arena including meeting room, events, video conference scheduling and live streaming services.
One of many openings available at proAV (who have over team members globally), this position is based within our end user’s organisation who continue to invest in state-of-the-art technologies, services, and training.
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced Event and Conference Technician to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
1. Setup/operation of integrated events spaces including high profile auditorium-based results presentations and town halls.
2. Proficient in audio, Video and lighting equipment both digital and analogue
3. Video conference/audio conference set-up and support with software and hardware platforms including Zoom, Cisco & Polycom systems.
4. Manage all aspects of the Video Calls from initial booking through to the monitoring and completion of all calls including scheduling and full systems operational testing prior to any high profile event.
5. Prepare equipment for future events and meetings as required.
6. Work alongside the Breakfix team by locating faults and providing resolutions; fix/replace/upgrade hardware when relevant in support of the AV & VC facilities.
7. Perform 1st/2nd line repairs & ongoing preventative maintenance including daily checks on all equipment in the building.
8. Provide Audio Visual support to other areas of the business when required; this could include setting up PAs or assisting with presentations in meeting rooms.
9. Work effectively both as part of a team and independently, responsible for client site management and client interface.
10. Represent the company professionally; approach and professionalism are extremely important.
11. Deliver excellent customer service and work calmly under pressure to resolve issues professionally.
12. Maintain a presentable appearance and liaise with senior executives in a professional manner both face-to-face and via phone/Zoom.
13. Work onsite shifts as required, with flexibility for out-of-hours events.
14. Coordinate with help desk & operations team for backup support when needed.
15. Utilize Microsoft Office, Zoom, ticketing systems, and room booking software for administration.
16. Attend other sites as required, including outside London.
17. Support the Livestreaming team as needed.
18. Proactively train and support end users.
19. Locate faults and provide first fix resolutions; loan equipment where appropriate.
20. Prepare equipment for events and meetings.
21. Be fully competent with all installed & portable technologies.
22. Support users at all levels of seniority on an individual basis.
23. Assist with high-level audio/visual quality of presentations, optimizing content for space.
24. Attend and remain on station for important events as required.
25. Work rotational shifts as needed.
26. Perform administrative tasks including professional email communication.
