Due to continutes growth they are now seeking an experienced Site Accountant to strengthen the finance function at their offices in Deeside - North Wales. Responsible for driving improvements in costing and reporting on an initial 12 month fixed term contract (with a strong possibility of a permanent role).
This opportunity is ideal for a proactive Management accountant who enjoys working with operations teams to embed robust processes and provide clear, data-driven insight for decision making.

Job duties
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and site financial reports
Lead weekly job-costing and other key metrics on site performance
Review daily, weekly and monthly job-costing data to ensure accuracy
Investigate and explain variances to management, driving corrective actions
Work closely with the stores team on stock management and reporting
Manage the fixed-asset register, support investment business cases and conduct periodic physical audits
Support month-end/year-end close, budgeting, forecasting and audit preparation
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
Champion process improvement across all areas of responsibility

Ideal experience
Experience as a cost / factory / management accountant in a manufacturing environment
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or QBE with strong cost-accounting expertise
Proven ability to analyse variances, explain performance drivers and influence non-finance stakeholders
Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and inventory control
Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the confidence to drive change independently
