We have an opportunity for a Sterile Services Supervisor to join their team of staff in the Theatre department. This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Duties of this role include: You provide a first-class decontamination sterile service to hospitals, Endoscopy units and relevant paramedical departments. You provide effective leadership and supervision within the department in all areas including Endoscopy. You assist in the provision of decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of medical and surgical equipment and sundry items to/for the customer. You assist in the provision of decontamination of flexible endoscopes. You promote and maintain Health & Safety within the department. You ensure processes are followed as directed by the Decontamination Manager, Production Manager, Quality Lead and/or Department Manager in accordance with policies and procedures. You create a motivated, high-performance culture where measures are fair and consistent and failure to achieve is addressed promptly through honest conversations, support and coaching. Applicants should meet the following criteria: You have proven experience of working in a sterile services unit and Endoscopy decontamination unit. Knowledge of track and trace systems – electronic and manual. Experience of undertaking internal audits. Effective leadership and managerial skills. Evidence of training in decontamination. Institute of Decontamination Certificate (IDSc) or NVQ Level 3 Decontamination is desirable but not essential. Ability to work under pressure, prioritise work and meet deadlines. Positive ‘can do’ attitude.
