Location: York, North Yorkshire, Yorkshire, UKLocation:York (covering Yorkshire East Division) Salary:Competitive + Benefits Employment Type:Full-Time, PermanentOur client, a leading Residential Developer operating across the Yorkshire East region (east of the A1 from Whitby down to Doncaster and the Humber Estuary), is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician / Civil Engineerto join their Technical team based in York.About the RoleReporting to the Engineering Manager or Technical Director, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the design of infrastructure and groundwork packages for multiple residential development sites. This is a key technical role, supporting the smooth delivery of new housing schemes.Key Responsibilities
Manage and procure services records and enquiriesfor new developments, ensuring timely payments for new services infrastructure.
Oversee external Consulting Engineersresponsible for the design of all external works, including:
Foundation solutions
Estate roads and sewers
Section 38, Section 104 and Section 278 agreements
Secure adoption agreements (S38, S104, S278)in line with programme timescales, ensuring all bonds are correctly arranged, monitored and released.
Contribute to obtaining structural designsfor superstructure components.
Carry out value engineering reviewsand continuous design evaluation to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.
Liaise with the Technical team and external authorities to support the discharge of planning conditions and building regulations.
About You
Experience working within residential development, civil engineering or housebuilding.
Strong understanding of infrastructure design, external works and adoption processes.
Ability to manage multiple projects and external consultants.
Good knowledge of the Yorkshire region is highly beneficial.
Strong communication, organisational and technical skills.
