We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an on-site General Handy Person in HMP Onley.
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week (across 7 days as a weekend shift pattern is in place). There is a need to work 1 in 3 weekends, but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).
The salary is £27,426.

The General Handy Person plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.
What you will do:
* Collaborating with a dynamic team to perform general maintenance tasks and assist tradespeople on site.
* Taking on various FM duties as directed by the team manager.
* Maintaining high health and safety standards across the contract.
* Contributing to local and business zero carbon initiatives, strategically working towards sustainability goals.
What you will bring:
* Solid experience in DIY/ general building maintenance.
* CITB relevant certification or equivalent.
* Willingness to learn new skills.
* Ability to work well in a team.
