Role Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and motivated individual to join our Medical Imaging Department as a Radiographic Assistant Administrator Higher Level. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of a high-quality imaging service while leading and coordinating a team of Radiographic Assistants across a busy NHS imaging department.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting patient flow, maintaining high standards of patient care, and ensuring the smooth day-to‑day operation of support services within Radiology. You will work closely with radiographers, radiologists, nursing staff, porters, and administrative teams to provide a safe, efficient, and compassionate service for patients.
This role is ideal for an experienced Radiographic Assistant or Healthcare Support Worker who is ready to take the next step into leadership and operational coordination.

The Administrator will be based in the Medical Imaging Department and will provide business support to the Radiographic Assistants.
The post holder will fulfil all administration tasks and work as part of a team and has responsibility for the day to day line management for a group of staff. To meet the needs of the service, the post holder may be required to work in other administrative areas as appropriate as directed by the line manager. The role involves overseeing and supporting Radiography Assistants (RA) through effective management of sickness absence, return to work processes, rota coordination, workload allocation, recruitment, appraisals and probation reviews in line with Trust HR Policies.
Responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with mandatory training, health and safety regulations, identifying staff development needs whilst supporting the induction, mentoring and on the job training of new and bank staff.
The post holder may chair RA meetings in the absence of senior radiography leadership, contribute to agendas and minutes and communicate key trust updates.
