Job Description:
The role involves providing efficient, effective, and professional coordination, administration, and monitoring of the internal processes and statutory procedures required for the registration, admission, and treatment of patients detained under the Mental Health Act (MHA) 1983, amended 2007.
Responsibilities include coordinating referrals to Schoen Clinic Newbridge alongside the referrals and admissions team, providing clinical administration support, and ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
Principal Duties:
* Ensure patients, relatives, legal representatives, and official agencies are provided with necessary information and documentation for detention, registration, and admission under the MHA.
* Liaise with clinicians, professionals, patients, families, legal representatives, and agencies, responding to inquiries and requests in accordance with policies and regulations.
* Coordinate the accurate and timely completion of section papers and related documentation, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
* Arrange hearings for Mental Health Tribunals and Hospital Managers Reviews, notifying parties, obtaining reports, and managing documentation in line with the MHA Code of Practice.
* Organize meetings, ensuring reports, minutes, and relevant documentation are produced, collated, and distributed efficiently.
* Process referrals received via NHS portal or private sources and coordinate with the referrals team.
* Provide general administrative support as delegated.
