Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Event Manager to join our dynamic Global Events Team at The Events House. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing a diverse range of live and experiential events. You will serve as the operational bridge between departments such as Accounts, Operations, Technical, and Branding, ensuring a unified approach to event strategy and delivery.
As an Event Manager, you will contribute to the end-to-end planning of events, develop our team into subject matter experts, and influence internal culture, client satisfaction, and service quality. You will also play a key role in evolving department practices, fostering professional growth, and delivering industry-leading activations.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-End Event Delivery: Lead planning, execution, and evaluation of local and international events, ensuring alignment with client expectations and standards.
* Cross-Departmental Leadership: Act as the central liaison across departments to synchronize planning, budgeting, brand alignment, and logistics.
* Budget & Financial Oversight: Manage event budgets and collaborate with Accounts for cost tracking and reporting.
* On-Site Leadership: Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, maintaining safety, team coordination, and client experience.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships pre-, during, and post-event.
* Operational Systems & Tools: Use internal event management platforms and Google Workspace tools for documentation and workflow management.
* Team Mentorship & Development: Support team members' growth and promote an inclusive team culture.
* Continuous Improvement: Produce detailed reports and debriefs to inform future planning.
* Capacity Planning & Scalability: Assess departmental readiness to meet growing demands without compromising quality or culture.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
* Minimum of 3 years in event management or project coordination.
* Deep understanding of health and safety, risk management, and operational planning.
* Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and managing complex timelines.
* Excellent communication skills, clarity, and collaboration focus.
* Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with a flexible, solution-oriented mindset.
* Proficiency in Google Workspace and familiarity with event management software.
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
* Full UK driving licence.
