As an Operations Manager based in Nottingham, your responsibilities will include:
* Managing a large branch operation, including warehouse and yard, ensuring smooth coordination between sales and operations
* Overseeing transport operations, including route planning, vehicle servicing, and supporting hire drivers
* Managing a team of 3 yard operatives, a yard supervisor, and 4 HGV drivers, including conducting performance reviews and providing support
* Ensuring health and safety standards are exceeded in the branch
* Identifying operational efficiencies to reduce damages and costs
* Managing stock takes, weekly stock checks, goods in, and stock ordering
This is a full-time, permanent role working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, with no weekend work.
Requirements:
* Experience managing large-scale operations, including warehouse, yard, and transport teams
* A positive attitude and a strong understanding of health and safety; an IOSH qualification is desirable
* Forklift truck operation knowledge; forklift license is desirable
* An HGV driving license is beneficial but not essential
