About the role:

As UK G&M Sales Manager, you'll own the full lifecycle of public sector frameworks and tenders while building strong strategic relationships with key accounts. You'll lead the UK G&M strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and delivering measurable growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Leading all UK public sector frameworks and tender submissions, from identification through to award and execution
2. Developing and delivering a clear UK G&M sales strategy aligned to growth targets
3. Managing key public sector accounts, building long-term plans focused on retention and expansion
4. Working in partnership with the UK dealer network to win and deliver public sector business
5. Providing leadership and direction to the UK G&M team, driving performance and capability
6. Engaging with government stakeholders, policymakers, and industry bodies to position JCB as a trusted partner
7. Maintaining strong pipeline visibility, accurate forecasting, and full accountability for performance

Success in this role will be measured through increased retail volume, improved tender win rates, strong pipeline development, and effective dealer engagement.

What does this role involve day to day?

8. Leading end-to-end tender activity, including bid strategy and submissions
9. Identifying and securing early engagement opportunities to maximise success rates
10. Building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders across the public sector
11. Collaborating with dealers on pricing, bid strategy, and framework opportunities
12. Reviewing performance against KPIs and driving continuous improvement
13. Coaching and managing team members to build expertise in public sector selling
14. Representing JCB at external events, industry forums, and stakeholder engagements

This will be suited to you if…

15. You have proven experience in public sector sales, tenders, or frameworks
16. You bring strong commercial and strategic thinking capability
17. You have a track record of managing key accounts and influencing senior stakeholders
18. You have leadership experience, including line management and team development
19. You are comfortable working with indirect sales channels and dealer networks
20. You are confident engaging with government, policymakers, and external stakeholders
21. You are results-driven, with a focus on delivering growth and measurable outcomes
