Fantastic opportunity to join a market‑leading, three‑generational family‑run company in the horticultural manufacturing sector. The business operates across multiple production sites in Yorkshire and is looking to expand its supply chain compliance function.
Location: Headquarters in York/Harrogate, easily accessible from junction 47 of the A1.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Commercial and Business Manager, the Supply Chain Compliance Co‑ordinator will be responsible for:
* Legal compliance: ensure all legal requirements for moving goods between countries are met, maintain up‑to‑date records, monitor legislative changes, identify regulatory risk, and manage accredited standards.
* Customs and plant health: complete administrative tasks to allow cross‑border goods movement, manage documentation, and ensure timely data transfer.
* Administration and systems: record and report information on goods moved across borders, maintain clear daily records, report KPIs at senior management meetings, and optimise compliance‑related systems.
* Health & Safety: maintain compliance with regulations, report any issues or contraventions.
* General: contribute to continuous improvement of processes and provide cover for the Planning team.
Qualifications
* Experience and knowledge of regulatory compliance, especially legislation for goods across borders.
* Experience in horticultural, logistics, supply chain or transport sectors is advantageous.
* Well‑organised, methodical and excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with planning, procurement and admin teams.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
* Genuine tenacity and curiosity, with a practical, hands‑on approach.
* Experience in planning is beneficial but not essential.
