As a Project Manager – Cyber Security Compliance, you’ll lead a cross‑functional technology programme that strengthens Booker’s cyber security posture and helps our teams work safely and confidently.
You’ll bring people together from across Booker Technology and the wider Tesco Group, creating clear plans, building momentum and supporting colleagues to meet security control requirements. This is a highly collaborative role, where your ability to communicate clearly, solve problems and keep things moving will really shine.
Main Responsibilities
8. Always act with integrity and follow our Business Code of Conduct
9. Own and track delivery plans for Booker’s cyber security compliance programme
10. Keep colleagues and stakeholders informed through clear, regular communication
11. Ensure appropriate governance is in place to deliver work on time and to agreed standards
12. Build strong, positive relationships to support delivery of security controls
13. Monitor progress against timelines, highlighting risks, issues and dependencies early
14. Facilitate problem‑solving sessions and manage escalations where needed
15. Hold stakeholders to account for delivering agreed improvement plans
16. Clarify control requirements and create clear, actionable deliverables for control operators
17. Work with teams to improve processes and meet cyber security control standards
18. Support the production of KPIs and measurable outcomes
19. Produce timely, accurate project documentation to support assurance and reporting
You will need
20. Proven experience delivering technology or cyber security‑related projects
21. Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels
22. A good understanding of project governance, risk management and delivery methodologies
23. The ability to work through ambiguity and turn complex requirements into clear plans
24. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
25. Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
26. A collaborative, inclusive approach that supports colleagues to succeed together
27. A project management qualification is desirable, but not essential
