Shift: Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm & Friday 9am to 4.45pm (36 hours per week)
Location: Radar Road, Leicester


About the role:

Reporting to the HR Manager, with a dotted line to the Head of HR, this role will lead the Online HR Services Team. It manages a team of 2 direct reports providing coordination and administration support to the NEXT Online Team. Working closely with payroll, recruitment, benefits, HRBPs, and compliance, this role plays a critical part in shaping the employee experience. The goal is to deliver exceptional service and support to employees and people managers, increasing efficiency, service quality, and engagement.


What you will be doing:

General:

* Provide leadership and support to the HR & Employee Services Specialists to ensure an outstanding employee experience, managing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks within deadlines.
* Ensure all processes related to employee lifecycle events (onboarding, benefits, compensation, leave, off-boarding, wellbeing) and personal lifecycle events (e.g., parental leave, career breaks) are delivered accurately and timely.
* Own and lead the execution of payroll processes on Oracle, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments. Act as an escalation point for payroll-related issues.
* Motivate the team to deliver high-quality customer service, ensuring processes meet standards.
* Develop the team as subject matter experts for all people process queries and issues.
* Support continuous improvement of HR processes, promoting efficiency and digitization, and proactively suggesting enhancements.
* Regularly review and update people operations documentation for clarity and accessibility.
* Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes through automation and best practices.
* Prepare reports and analytics on HR service metrics, analyze trends, and recommend improvements.
* Monitor KPIs and SLAs, taking corrective actions as needed.
* Collaborate with other business units to share best practices and improve processes.

Additional responsibilities:

* Lead the bi-annual salary process for NEXT Online.
* Provide system support during seasonal processes, ensuring accurate completion.
* Handle queries related to salary processes, offering expert advice.
* Assist with reporting requirements and data input.
* Manage and update salary grids and produce related HR documentation.

HR Admin:

* Handle HR admin and salary processing for confidential HR cost centers.
* Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
* Support the Head of HR with administrative tasks.

What you will need to succeed:

* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Strong multitasking and analytical skills
* High attention to detail and proofreading skills
* Technical proficiency in Oracle, G-Suite, Snowdrop, Crystal, Experian, and related systems
* Experience in providing excellent customer service via multiple channels
* Confidence and adaptability to different audiences
* Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
* Numeracy skills and proficiency in Google and Microsoft software
* Sound judgment and initiative in problem resolution
* Flexibility in work demands and hours
* Integrity and confidentiality
* Extensive experience in Recruitment & HR Coordination
* Leadership qualities and ability to motivate others
* Proactive sharing of best practices
