An exciting opportunity for a Group Credit Manager has become available at our Head Office. This role involves leading Credit Control for our group of companies, reporting to the Finance Director. The position requires overseeing credit activities such as risk management, policy development, and team leadership. This is an office-based role at our Head Office in Shirley, near the M42.
The successful candidate will include:
* Experience in a busy credit control environment,
* Strong financial understanding,

* Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing relationships with Credit Insurers, monitoring limits, submitting claims, and negotiating renewals,
* Leading monthly meetings with senior management,
* Providing management reports on debts, debtor days, collections, and other metrics,
* Overseeing cash collection across all group companies,
* Ensuring departmental systems and protocols are effective and compliant,
* Managing the Credit Control team proactively,
* Handling credit applications and documentation,
* Making major credit decisions,
* Controlling credit limits and managing litigation or insolvency cases,
* Setting and enforcing credit policies,
* Conducting risk assessments for existing and new credit applicants,
* Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders,
* Reviewing sales terms and conditions,
* Visiting customers and sites as needed.
