About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Fire Surveyor to join their growing team. This is a senior level role that blends technical fire safety expertise with leadership and project management responsibilities. You’ll be delivering fire surveys, supporting forensic investigations, mentoring junior colleagues, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards.
The role is primarily site based across London. Flexibility to work from home or the office is available when project schedules allow
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out external wall cladding assessments and compartmentation/fire stopping surveys.
* Undertake site inspections (invasive & non-invasive) of both new and existing buildings.
* Lead and manage small to medium projects, supporting larger, complex assignments where required.
* Provide consultancy and technical guidance to clients and colleagues.
* Assist in the planning and delivery of forensic fire investigations, working alongside engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
* Produce detailed and accurate site reports.
* Maintain the highest health & safety standards during all site investigations.
* Mentor and support Apprentices, Graduates, and Surveyors within the team.
* Stay current with fire safety legislation, Building Regulations, and new construction methods.
Skills & Experience Required
* Background in construction, surveying, or fire safety (essential).
* Strong working knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
* Fire door and compartmentation surveys
* External wall assessments (FRAEW)
* Passive Fire Protection systems
* Familiarity with survey software (e.g., Bolster, Site Audit Pro).
* Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
* Project and line management experience.
* Relevant Level 3 qualification (Surveying, Fire Risk Assessment, or related).
* Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel, including overnight stays when required.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid/remote setup.
