Press Officer – 6 month contract (potential to go perm) Location: Huntingdon (Hybrid working, 1 day per week in the office)
We’re looking for a Press Officer who knows how to spot a good story and can bring it to life for a wide audience. You’ll be part of a busy communications team supporting a public sector organisation that’s focused on improving communities across the region. The role involves finding and sharing stories that show the impact of their work, building good relationships with the media, and helping shape the public conversation.
Some days will be fast-paced and reactive, others will be about planning ahead and building a pipeline of positive stories.
Creating and sharing news stories across print, digital and broadcast media
Working with colleagues across communications, policy, and public affairs
Helping develop media briefings and campaign content
Strong writing skills and a clear, confident communication style
